2019 Warrandyte Festival

IMG_0618

The Warrandyte Festival is an annual celebration of community, participation and friendship that is held on the banks of the Yarra in March. The Festival is an opportunity for local people, families, schools, community groups and services to come together over a weekend of fun activities. The 2019 Festival will be held from 22 – 24 March 2019. A major part of the festival is the street parade held on Saturday morning where performers and members of the community travel along Yarra Street from central Warrandyte down to Stiggant’s Reserve. The Ringwood Highland Pipe Band is pleased to be a regular participant in the Warrandyte festival and we will again be participating in 2019.

Band Members; its a good idea to work together to have some cars up the top of the walk (where we start) and some parked down at Stiggant’s reserve so we can then ferry people to their cars prior to and at the end of the march as it is a bit of a walk otherwise 🙂

About the Lighthouse Foundation

The Lighthouse Foundation has a vision to end youth homelessness together. The organisation was formed in 1991 and is celebrating 25 years of having successfully broken the cycle of     homelessness for over 750 young people.

They provide their residents not just with a home, but with a family and a therapeutic model of care that is individually tailored and proven to work. Through their Lighthouse experience, young people can heal; learn again to relate to others; and start to rebuild their lives.

There are ten Lighthouse homes in Melbourne with a Mothers and Baby Home in Heathmont.  Join us in supporting The Lighthouse Foundation for International Women’s Day 2016.
