Thanks to all for the fantastic “performance” from the Ringwood Highland Pipe Band at our festival. The way you got into the spirit hopping on to a tram and “surprising” the crowd, marching up and down the street, up stairs, on stage etc. was amazing and will be something that is talked about for a long time. Thank you to everyone of your team for understanding the brief and helping us in having a fun community day. You were the best – Janet Busby
The band had a great day playing for the public at the Balwyn Multicultural festival at the north Balwyn shopping centre last Saturday 22nd February 2014.
We arrived by tram, striking up as we stepped off and formed up to commence a street march.

The band marched through the streets playing a variety of popular pipe band tunes, stopping from time to time to circle up and play on street corners, in front of the village cafe and on the steps of the arcade.

We finished the day playing some upbeat tunes on stage, including our popular Australian set.

We would like to thank the organisers of the event for giving us the opportunity to participate in this wonderful festival, and “the village cafe” for their kind hospitality on the day.
The band were awesome. They created a great atmosphere and really helped make our special day feel closer to home. Ian piped me down the isle which had one or two wiping a tear away. The band played outside the church and also to walk us into our reception. All who attended loved the music and we can’t thank the band enough. – Jennifer Sanderson
The Ringwood highland pipe band were thrilled to play a selection of highland classics at the wedding of Jennifer and Derek at the picturesque Anglican Parish of St John’s church in Sorrento.
Happy new year to all band members, learners, family and friends. With a new year upon us it will soon be time to recommence band practice and beginner lessons.
We will be recommencing on Wednesday 15th of January, 2014.
