2018 Christmas Breakup Dinner

XMAS Image

All members are cordially invited to a Musical Christmas Dinner.  The party will be held at 6:30pm on Wednesday 12 December 2018 at the Ringwood RSL.

Guests, family and children are also invited but there will be a small charge for them that will be advised shortly.

Colourful Scottish dress is preferred, and please bring your instruments and party tricks!  Santa has been requested to come – but his attendance depends on his busy schedule and how many letters he receives!

An attendance sheet is available with John Wicks.  Please let him know numbers as soon as possible. See you there.  You can call him on 9723-9278.

IMPORTANT – Band Practice Venue Change # 2

This post contains important information for all band members.

The East Ringwood Hall was a lovely Venue but it was a little too small for us and it meant with 15 -20 pipers it was extremely loud inside!

The committee has secured a new practice location from 8-Aug-2018 until further notice.

The new venue is:

CROYDON PRIMARY SCHOOL

Crn. CROYDON RD & KENT AVE.

CROYDON 3136 Mel.Ref. Map 50 J 3

Enter Car-Park via Croydon Rd.(50 metres up on left from the intersection)
Croydon Railway Station is a only short walk away).

Building is:- ” BER” just up the slope from the Car – Park.

Practice times remain unchanged.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience this move is causing but hopefully we will all settle into our new facilities over the coming weeks and we can focus on our music again!

Cheers,
Peter.

Maroondah City Council Smarty Grant

Ringwood Highland Pipe Band Snare Drummers are thrilled with the recently arrived Flint Snare Lightweight Drums and are now using them in all parade activities. Sincere thanks to Maroondah City Council for the $3.000 grant which substantially contributed their purchase. See how good they look! All marching bands should use these in the safety OHS interest of their organisation.
